Dogs have been very much part of our lives for over thirty years, commencing with a crossbreed and a rescued dog. We were introduced to obedience and acquired our first obedience dog, a Border Collie called Bryn. Bryn went on to excel in Agility and Flyball and was soon joined by our Polish Lowland Sheepdogs, Tizzie and Szymon. Our Polish Lowlands introduced us to the world of showing and Szymon went on to achieve the titles of Polish, Belgian and International Champion, as well as siring a number of quality puppies, now living in Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Germany, Poland and The States.

   It was at an Agility competition several years ago that we saw our first Spanish Water Dogs and were very impressed by their speed and agility. At the time there were less than thirty SWDs in the UK but after a lot of research and waiting we were fortunate enough to acquire our first bitch, Squiffy.

   Squiffy’s registered name of ‘Estrella’ formed the basis of our KC Kennel Name and our litter of Spanish Water Dogs born at the beginning of 2003 was the first of our litters to carry this name. Two of Squiffy’s daughters, Taffle and Ripple are now very much part of the family and have gone on to produce puppies of their own
